Objectives

This course aims to improve written English skills. It does not focus on establishing initial contact with the language.

• Structure ideas to write concise and precise texts (letters, memos, emails) using appropriate vocabulary depending on the formality level of the situation
• Formulate and support arguments in all situations, even the most delicate, by choosing the correct language register
• Develop written expression with a focus on clarity and precision, considering cultural and linguistic nuances of Canadian, American, and British English
• Adequately describe events and experiences or briefly present professional projects
• Correctly use syntax, grammar, and vocabulary in all professional and personal documents
• Understand the main points discussed in various texts written in both formal and informal styles
