Is English your second or foreign language? Would you like to improve your confidence and speaking skills in professional, personal, and social settings?  This course is designed for anyone who wants to develop their skills — whether you’re already working or preparing to enter the job market.

General objective

To develop oral fluency, confidence, and clarity in spoken English

Specific objectives

  • Improve and refine speaking skills in a variety of situations
  • Expand vocabulary using idiomatic expressions and common turns of phrase
  • Work on pronunciation, intonation, and rhythm for more natural and fluid speech
  • Become familiar with cultural practices and particularities of English-speaking regions
  • Strengthen key grammar structures used in everyday conversation
  • Build the confidence to speak spontaneously and interact comfortably

Teaching approach

The course emphasizes authentic communication and active participation through:

  • Guided discussions and exchanges on daily life, professional, and cultural topics
  • Role plays, debates, and real-life simulations
  • Listening comprehension using authentic audio and video materials
  • Pronunciation-focused exercises (sounds, stress, rhythm, intonation)

Grammar and vocabulary elements are introduced in context, directly related to oral interactions, allowing natural and motivating progression.

Evaluation

Progress is based on active participation, self-assessment, quality of exchanges, and continuous feedback throughout the course.

Certificate of participation

A certificate of participation will be issued to learners who have attended at least 70% of the sessions.
