Our program options

Prepare for your trip: do you need a visa?

  • Good news! UQAM’s summer language immersion programs are non-credit activities of less than six months, so a study permit is not required to participate. Depending on your country of origin, a visitor visa may still be required to enter Canada.
  • Once your registration is complete and the fees are paid, the Non-Credit Language Courses team at UQAM will send you an official letter of acceptance — necessary for visa applications. Don’t worry: fees are refunded if your visa application is refused.
  • Check out if you need a visa or an acceptance certificate
